Since this is my first article of Nokia’s new “X” Series phones, we’ll just take a quick look at the Nokia X3. The Nokia X3 is designed first and foremost for music lovers and is also the first Series 40 6th Edition Ovi Store-enabled device. Sleek, compact and affordable music-oriented handset you can find. The Nokia X3 is a slider phone equipped with 2.2-inch display with 262k colors support, 3.2-megapixel camera and today´s all-about-music devices such as 3.5mm jack, stereo loudspeakers and a built-in aerial FM Radio.
The 3.2 megapixel camera can take decent still snaps and impressive video clips. Shoot, edit and share video clips to Facebook thanks to the pre-installed software, or geo-tag and upload to Flickr direclty. It has an ´active´ homescreen, meaning that you can choose whether you see your contacts, friends or the track you´re playing. It is preloaded with animated wallpapers and has different options for showing signal and battery strengths.
There´s a bunch of great games on-board, including Guitar Rock Tour by Gameloft, and Java games such as City Bloxx and Snake III. Nokia Maps working in tandem with the integrated A-GPS.

Nokia C5-03: Best Symbian Smartphone In Affordable Price

As new line of handsets being released by other big mobile phone manufacturer, world known handset manufacturer Nokia also intruduced a new handset into the market. The Nokia C5-03 from C-Series family was released just before the launch of their big product Nokia N8 handset. Nokia C5-03 is basically a 3G capable touchscreen mobile phone a very stylish looks and comes in a number of vibrant & variant colors. The C5-03 features a neat 3.2 inch TFT resistive touchscreen which features a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels with on board QWERTY keyboard and stylus support.

The operating system on the Nokia C5-03 is Symbian^1 S60 5th edition touch edition, which is somewhat depressing. But this handset features other essentials like Wi-Fi for faster internet access, compass, Bluetooth 2.0, A-GPS for free live navigation on Ovi Maps, Ovi Store and also features sharing through social networks.

The new Nokia C5-03 sports an impressive 5 megapixel camera, with 4X digital zoom features which can take excellent pictures and videos. But, there is no flash to accompany it. A very nifty feature that’s available though is Geo-tagging. Apart from images, video recording is supported at a resolution of 640×480 at 15fps and save them in H.263 or MPEG-4 formats. The battery of Nokia C5-03 is impressive, with a 1000 mAh battery to a phone that has limited battery consumption, the result is an extremely long standby time of up to 24-25 days. And a talk time of 11.5 hours on 2G networks and 5 hours on 3G networks.

So, what is it about this new phone that makes it worth buying? With all the modern-day essentials features on this handsets, it definitely might be just the cheapest smartphone out there.

Nokia C7-00 C-Series Symbian^3 Smartphone

Another new C-Series phone from Nokia is the Nokia C7-00 smartphone. It also operates on the latest Symbian^3 OS and it has the same blazing fast penta-band 3G, a 3.5” nHD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, a 680MHz CPU, 256MB RAM and 1GB ROM, which are some good figures for the efficient Symbian OS. The Nokia C7 has a curved, pebble-esque look. Physically, the Nokia C7′s curved and beveled edges encourage a comfortable hand holding experience. Made of a combination of plastic and metal, the phone, with its candybar form factor and lack of moving parts, feels distinctly durable and dense. The Nokia C7 feels like a phone, an attractive, slim phone. Without any protrusions, it fits very nicely in the pocket, and is comfortable to hold to the ear when making calls on it.

With the 3.5” nHD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, images, videos and text are displayed well on the Nokia C7. And with a resolutiion of 360×640, colours are punchy and vibrant, pixel density is good enough to ensure adequate sharpness for most smartphone tasks. The capacitive glass fronted screen feels comfortable when your finger or thumb glides along it, and scrolling and sliding feels smooth with an adequate frame-rate displaying what you do, when you do it. In this regard, Nokia have delivered another Symbian^3 phone with a screen that feels high-end, hopefully putting a nail in the coffin of sub-par resistive displays on premium handsets.

And like the Nokia C6-01, the Nokia C7 is equiped with 8MP camera and fixed focus. The 720p video recording is still on – as is Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. With 8GB of on board memory and expandable memory up to another 32GB via microSD expansion, the Nokia C7 has considerable media potential. With the 680MHz ARM 11 processor, the Nokia C7 will do its job well when web browsing. Social networking integration though, is limited to Facebook and Twitter. The phone will enable you to manually link contact information from your phonebook with Facebook, however, won’t automate the process like other mobile OSs, so it is pretty impractical for multiple contacts.

The Nokia C7 captures video at 3 resolutions, HD, VGA and very low res for multimedia messaging, with its HD 720p capture at 25fps and play back up to a resolution of 720p (DivX, H.264, MP4 and Xvid), and able to play it as smoothly as can be. The on-board GPS finds the Nokia C7’s position pretty quickly. Coupling this with Ovi Maps makes the phone a possible GPS replacement. Battery life on the Nokia C7 is also good. The talk time is 9.6 hours while the standby time is 18 days. The Nokia C7 also defaults to a power saving mode when the battery is low, which can be deactivated, offering easy ways to extend the life if need be.

Nokia E75 And Nokia E55: Most Wanted Phones of 2009

Last year February 2009 at the Mobile Web Congress, Nokia has officially announced another members of the famous E-Series family both of which are equally impressive, the Nokia E75 and Nokia E55. Both smartphones were also release last year. The Nokia E75 slider phone is the successor to the highly popular E71 which was released last 2008, while the Nokia E55 is a follow up to the affordable smartphone E51. Both mobile phones are said to be loaded with Nokia’s new email interface which according to Nokia give a more efficient corporate email solution.

To make this possible, Nokia has partnered with Microsoft and Lotus Notes. The said email interface would have folder and HTML email support, expandable views and sorting capability by date, sender and size. Similarly, the Nokia E55 also features aGPS, Nokia Maps and N-Gage support. It is geared up for consumers who are looking for a mid-range smartphone and its best feature is its half QWERTY keyboard which was well loved by Nokia E51 users transitioning from the standard keypads of regular mobile phones.
